Flu | Natural Cure For Flu

Saturday, March 6th, 2010

Of the drugs acting on the virus itself & its reproduction of the proof of the effectiveness. In its absence, WHO experts recommended that the drug Zanamivir (Relenza), with a relatively mild work of illness doctors recommend that post-Soviet countries arbidol, despite the fact that it applies to drugs with unproven efficacy, & WHO does not think about it as an antiviral drug.

In Ayurveda, health ailments like swine flu are because of weakened immunity that the body cannot withstand against the attack of illness causing germs. Ayurveda, as always, believes in strengthening the body systems that fight & win the battle against H1N1 Virus.

First a small history, it is not a new flu at all, lots of conspiracy types seem to think the government has concocted this super bug for some dastardly reason but this is not the case. A flu outbreak occurred in the 70s as well as in France in 1918 called the French flu.

This is completed by prescribing various digestive fire strengthening herbs such as Guduchi (licorice), Tulasi (Holy Basil), Sahadevi, Neem (Indian Margosa Tree), Shunthi (ginger), Pippali (pepper) etc. Four times the digestive fire is corrected; medicines such as Triphala, Rasna, Eranda, and Guggulu can be prescribed to relieve the symptoms.

Herbal medicines like Chirayta (Swertia chirata), Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum), Pippali (Piper longum), Vishwa (Zinziber officinalis), Haridra (Curcuma longa), Som (Ephedra vulgaris), Dhatura (Dhatura fastiosa) & Kantakari (Solanum xanthocarpum) can also be used for this purpose.

The Ayurvedic treatment of swine flu is aimed at treating the symptoms, controlling the virus, & preventing complications by boosting the immune status of the body. Medicines like Tribhuvan-Kirti-Ras, Sitopaladi-Churna, Triphal-Guggulu, Maha-Sudarshan-Churna, Shwas-Kuthar-Ras, Laxmi-Narayan-Ras, and Sut-Shekhar-Ras & Samshamani-Vati can be used to treat the flu-like symptoms of fever, bodyache & cough.

There’s some actions that you can take on your own without your doctor’s advice. The H1N1 Swine flu is spread through the air & on contact. The most obvious preventive actions are to wash your hands often & wear a mask. Those four actions are effective.

Gastro-intestinal symptoms can be treated using medicines like Panchamrut-Parpati, Kutaj-Parpati, Kutaj-Ghan-Vati, Laghu-Sutshekhar-Ras & herbal medicines like Vishwa, Kutaj (Holarrhina antidysentrica), Musta (Cyperus rotundus) & Bilva (Aegle marmelos).

However, our culture doesn’t wear face masks as other cultures do, to keep from spreading a illness, or to keep from catching a illness. Washing our hands works well when in contact with others, but often they forget to do that after answering a phone or opening a door. It still amazes me the number of people using the restroom who don’t wash their hands – but, that is another story.

The trouble is, the preliminary results of these types of these tests have been poor. It was determined that lots of false negative results, as lots of as half, occurred on a regular basis. In other words, the check failed to detect known swine flu in laboratory conditions, meaning a negative check at the doctor’s office would not actually guarantee that you don’t have the swine flu.
